Just a friendly reminder.

If you go to a haunted house tonight...DO NOT ABUSE THE ACTORS >:(

Actors are sacrificing their night so you get scared. Don't abuse them, they will be violent and angry.

Tonight was slightly horrible.

My emotions are on that roller coaster.

And then on the way home we almost go into a car accident.

I'm still shaking.

God dammit people.

Got my new Sabres shirt in the mail yesterday.

Now I don't know if I should wear it tonight or wear it tomorrow.

Something tells me if I wear it tomorrow I might get killed at work.

This is a rant written by a girl I work with. Please note that HHN and HOS are the area events (You might have seen HHN ads around VR) I work for HOS. But please...take this and apply it to any event you attend this year.

IF YOU VISIT HOWL-O-SCREAM OR HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS JUST AS A GUEST PLEASE READ THIS AND CIRCULATE IT AS WELL!!!!!!

This is a mini-rant and the views expressed herein are not the views or opinions of anyone (Busch Gardens, parent companies of Busch Gardens, or subsidiaries thereof) other than myself. These are my opinions alone and no one has paid me to bitch but I am currently employed by Busch Gardens. My opinions should NOT reflect upon my employer. I enjoy my job at Busch Gardens immensely but everyone has those little things that drive them bonkers, regardless of profession. These are my pet-peeves. Thank you.

Rule #1 of Halloween Events: They are not Fight Club.

Rule #2 of Halloween Events: THEY ARE NOT FIGHT CLUB!

I'm really sick of people trying to pick fights with me because I scared the crap out of them. Sorry if I embarrassed you in front of your buddies or whatever but if you swing on me, you'll be spending the night in jail. Just fair warning.

I'm sick for the second time this run... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you're sick, dont come out to a Halloween event and infect everybody! Please keep in mind that scare actors have lives outside outside the park and many of us have families. If you get us sick, you might be getting our kids and spouses sick, too.

For the love of God, dont pay 70 some-odd dollars to come out to a Halloween event to play Peek-A-Boo with the scareactors. Nothing drives me, other scareactors, and OTHER GUESTS more insane than when you walk through our house shouting "I SEE YOU!" at every scareactor you spot. Some people pay good money to come out and, well, get scared. They want to have scareactors jump out and try to get them. You ruin their night when you point us out every single time. Make a mental note and keep moving. A lot of us will "save our scares" (not try to scare someone) if they make it obvious that they see us. I try to get everyone because sometimes the fact that I slink up off the floor even after being pointed is enough to creep people out... however, not everyone does this. So, when you point us out to God and everyone, we have to wait a good five or six people before we can try to scare someone again because everyone will look when you yell "THERES ONE IN THE CORNER!"

Please remember, under all the yuck of latex and make-up, we are people too. We're paid to perform for you, the guests. If you yell at us for scaring you ie "Why the hell did you do that!?" or my personal favorite "DONT SCARE ME!", you are, in fact, asking us to NOT DO OUR JOBS. If you dont want to be scared, may I suggest Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? Or ZooBoo? Stear clear of Howl O Scream and Halloween Horror Nights because we WILL scare the crap out of you. And we'll enjoy it, too.

So, if I pop off the wall and I DONT scare you, please save your ridicule for Facebook or MySpace. Not every scare will get everyone. Not everyone is afraid of zombies/sorority girls/clowns/chainsaws/etc. I try to do my job to the best of my abillity. I try to scare every guest as if they were the only guest I had to scare that night. When you tell me how lame my scare was, you know what my response is? Show me how you would do better. No really, go audition next year and if the creative team thinks you have what it takes, then come talk to me about scare techniques... Granted, you do fuel my fire for the next person that happens to walk through my room. I take that frustration out on the next hapless vict.... er... guest. Yeah, when you can make someone crap their pants (which I have) then you can tell me how lame my scares are....

Dont linger. If I try to scare you (whether I do or do not, doesnt matter) and then you stand in front of me and observe me like a weird bug..... you totally throw off my scare-mojo. Not to mention, you're backing up the house, giving away my location, and scaring the crap out of ME. I don't care if you're going to try to grab me, hit me, etc. I will get defensive and have my whistle ready in case you try to do something stupid. I feel threatened when you invade my space and back me into a corner. You have a clear walkway in which to escape... I am, very literally, cornered. If you touch us, you're the one that could wind up in jail. Most Halloween events are VERY serious about protecting their actors. Keep that in mind. Not to mention, it makes you look drunk and CREEPY...

DO NOT TRY TO SCARE THE SCARE ACTORS. First off, I see you. My eyes are perfectly adjusted to the dark. Nine times out of ten, I'm probably making eye contact with you. If you want to scare people so badly, go to auditions and get a job as a scare actor. Secondly, if you sneak up behind us and grab us (or poke us, or push us, or whatever) just realize that we may swing around and accidentally hurt you. Not to mention, you just committed battery on a performer. We have the legal right to persue legal action against you if you touch us in any way that makes us feel uncomfortable. Usually, our parent company backs us up 100%. Keep that in mind when attending HHN or HOS. Lastly, it might result in you being ejected from the park. If you do it to one of us, you may do it again. On that principle, our parent company has the right to have security escort you to the front of the park and eject you from the premises WITHOUT A REFUND.

Not to mention, this is just a stupid thing to do. Why would you try to scare us? Does that prove how tough/cool/badass/retarded/etc you are? Go take out your feelings of inadequacey on a Halo tourney or something.

Please remember that this was a mini-rant and the views expressed herein are not the views or opinions of anyone (Busch Gardens, parent companies of Busch Gardens, or subsidiaries thereof) other than myself. These are my opinions alone and no one has paid me to bitch but I am currently employed by Busch Gardens. My opinions should NOT reflect upon my employer. So last night at work we got talking about what people would sterotype us as and someone turned to me and was like "well you are probably the farthest thing from goth possible"

I about died laughing.

So all the girls were trying to "fit" me in somewhere and it came down to little rave girl.

Until my friend chimed in, "Are you serious? She has a fucking Star Wars tattoo and plays MMO's all the time. She is a NERD"

x)

Nerd girl, I don't deserve you

I don't get the references you refer to

I love your Lipsmackers and your lack of perfume

I hope to get you home by curfew

WORD UP!

That seriously made my night awesome yesterday.

I also love that song by MC Chris and I can't wait to see him in concert next month. :o

Nerd power!!

In the name of Yoda before Gorge Lucas raped Starwars, we shall rise!

We'll run into battle screaming "SPOOOOOOOON!" in homage to The Tick, we'll say "Ga-rooovy!" to show our allegiance to Earthworm Jim, the only real super exo-skeleton suit to be used for good and not financial gains... Yes, Halo... I'm looking at you! And we'll be complete social outcasts to maintain our identities!

...Yeah, alright. I'm done...

My body is screaming in pain right now.

Fucking hell week started.

No school tomorrow means every little git was at the park pissing me off.

I love my job, but when I have to get 4 people kicked out of the park (1 arrested) it was a rough night.

Tomorrow night is going to be worse. Friday and we work to 2am instead of 1am.

A lot of them have to do with my personal life away from work and online. I wish people would get that. -.-

So I was looking around to see what shows were going to be at the preforming arts center while Sean was here in December and I am a bit sad that the Nutcracker is 3 days after he leaves.

Mannheim Steamroller is playing on my birthday though. That might be worth it.

Decided to call out of work tonight.

This might fall under the too much information thing but here it goes.

I have endometriosis. Typically one day of my cycle I am in so much pain that I can't move.

Today is that day. There is no way I can stand on my feet for 8 hours without screaming. Normally I suck it up and take some pain killers.

Today it doesn't seem like they will work. Not to mention last night was insane and for the first time in the 3 years I've done this I felt scared to do my job.

So I am taking a night off to rest and relax.

To be honest I was planning on calling out one night this season to hang out with Sean, but he is going to be here in December instead so it works out the same.

Just ordered a pair of yarn falls for work.

I am sick of wearing pig tails and ribbons in my hair. I figure 36 inches of yard and ribbons would suffice.

Plus they have glitter yarn in them and were only 10 dollars on etsy. >.>

I'll take pictures when I get them. They should be here rather fast, only being shipped from South Carolina. lol

Just ordered an external hard drive and new mp3 player.

The external was on my list of things to get this month, but the mp3 player wasn't.

My poor mp3 player is dying on me slowly so I need to replace it soon.

I got everything on overstock.com. They seem pretty cool and doable.

100 bucks for a few things I needed, I consider that a damn good deal. I had put aside 100 for the external harddrive itself.

I think I am doing pretty good. Cnet had some great reviews on the stuff I got so that makes me happy as well.

I am such a nerd and actually look up reviews on stuff before buying them.
